The soldier is part of the [[Second Abydos mission team]], led by [[Colonel]] [[Jack O'Neill]], whose mission is to retreive [[Daniel Jackson]] and check if any threat came from here. All the team pass through the [[Stargate]] and find themselves inside the [[Abydos pyramid]]. The place seems desert yet suddenly, all the young [[Abydonian]]s hold the team at gunpoint. Daniel Jackson comes out and tells everybody to lower their weapons. Then after a moment, Jackson invites the team to join their evening meal.<br />

Later, when Jackson, O'Neill, Captain [[Samantha Carter]] and Major [[Charles Kawalsky]] go outside the pyramid to get in a [[Abydos cartouche chamber|newly found room]], Major [[Ferretti]] tells the soldier that Jakson's wife, [[Sha're]], is very beautiful. Suddenly, all the team comes on alert as the Stargate enables itself. He takes cover and defend the place when some [[Serpent guard]]s get outside the [[wormhole]] and fire at them.
